Wadowice Tour Wadowice is a small city of approx 20,000 people located 40 km Southwest of Krakow. There is plenty to do and see in Wadowice including a museum devoted to John Paul II The basilica has the 15th century presbytery and the baptismal font by which little Karol Wojtyla was baptized. His family house has been turned into a museum and there is an exhibition there that illustrates and commemorates John Paul and his life and work in Poland until he left Krakow for Rome in 1978.
A trip to Wadowice is also a great opportunity to see typical small town everyday life and try the Pope’s favourite cake – delicious kremowka!
