Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour

Wieliczka Salt Mine, a Material Culture World Heritage Site, is among the most eagerly visited tourist sites in Poland.

After nearly thousand years of salt exploitation, the mine developed into an extensive underground city, mysterious and unique.

Only about 10 km East of Krakow you'll find historic underground chambers, shafts and caverns decorated with sculptures and carvings. It's the only site in the world where mining has continued since the Middle Ages. In the old times mining and resultant excavations could be shown only to members of the upper classes. Well, luckily the system in Wieliczka has became a little bit more democratic since then and we invite you to admire the magnificent chapel made out of salt, captivating underground lakes traces of mining works.

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel/city center and drive you directly to Wieliczka where you will join a guided tour in your language. After the tour we will drop you off at you hotel or wherever you wish to.

The whole trip with transfer there and back takes about 4 hours.
